Your travel container should provide enough space for your pet to stand, turn around, and lie down comfortably. It should also be well-ventilated and secure. Check out our travel container page here or chat with one of our experienced staff to select the appropriate size and type of container to ensure the safety and comfort of your four-legged friend.

Yes, but pets fly in the cargo hold, not the cabin. We’ll coordinate flights to align with your own wherever possible. Talk about the temperate and lighting in here. I think you have worded this somewhere before.

Yes. Virgin does not fly brachycephalic breeds (like French Bulldogs or Persians) but there are procedures around these breeds, with the min age being 12 weeks and there are handling requirements at the departure and arrival of these breeds. It’s best to get in touch with us to discuss your pet prior to booking flights so we can organise the most appropriate airline and route.
Get them familiar with their crate before travel, and avoid feeding them within 8 hours of flying. Our team can discuss your pet’s needs prior to travel.

No. Virgin only offers domestic pet travel, but if you’re heading overseas, we’re also partnered with Qantas and many other major airlines for international pet transport.
